"Well, you see. We don't think she is quite old enough just yet."- The school staff replied. "Absurd! Our little Princess loves to dance! And she loves her ballet outfit."- Her Grandmother said. "Yes we know, but you see.. she gets all dressed up in her tights and tutu. Gets in front of the mirrors in the dance studio...and then all she does is gaze at herself in the mirror and play with her tutu. She doesn't do the routines or anything. She just wants to stare at herself in the mirror." - the ballet teacher said. The End. And that was the story of my short lived ballet career. Started and ended at the age of 3. LOL. In my spirit (and in the four walls of my bedroom), I was a Prima Ballerina. I longed for a chance to have the fancy pink pointe shoes with the satin ribbons that laced up your leg. To stand on my tippy toes and gracefully twirl like a beautiful ballerina. Needless to say when the opportunity to collaberate with an amazing women's magazine came about and we were discussing ideas, I totally jumped at the chance to channel my inner little girl and become that Ballerina.
