As a big girl it's VERY common for a brand to throw some awful left over fabric together, normally in the shape of a pancho, and say they offer "Plus Sizes." SMH. MERP! I have always been one to stray away from anything pancho esk or even flirting with the pancho family. When you are short like I am and a size 26, it just doesn't pair well. So you can imagine my surprise when I found Renata Raps! I was immediately drawn to the fabulousness of the owner Renata at a fashion show in NC. She just oozed fashion, poise, and elegance. She looked so effortlessly chic wearing one of her wraps and I just had to learn more! Once I visited her showcase and got my hands on all of the luxurious pieces, I was hooked! Not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical on how they would wear on my body type, but I was totally blown away once I tried the wraps on! ***Sometimes half the battle is not worrying about if its going to look good on you, fit you, come in your size etc. If you walk into a store and love something, ask for it in YOUR size! Whats the worst that can happen???*** Renata and her gorgeous daughter showed me how easy it was to rock my wrap and before I knew items debit card was swiped! I wore my wrap on the plane ride home, which by the way...these wraps are genius for traveling! Who wants to be stuffy and uncomfortable when traveling/flying??? Try wrap was more comfortable than throwing on a baggy sweatshirt with no bra, and a million times more chic and fashionable! lol. The price point is more on the luxury end but this is definitely one of those transitional pieces you can wear for all seasons. Ya'll know me, I LOVE combining expensive pieces with bargains and making them my own. Like in these photos I paired my wrap with a simple $5 long sleeve black shirt, a pair of torrid leggings, my new favorite coach bag, and a $2 scarf from my favorite thrift store!

Once Upon a TimeGrowing up with a single dad, and a house with only boys, let just say fashion wasn't something I was at all familiar with. Add being plus size to that and its "you are wearing what your brother wears just in bigger boy sizes." There was no Torrid, Lane Bryant, Forever21 plus- At least my Dad had not discovered it yet.I think thankfully by age 13 there was a Fashionbug?? EEKK! Having literally worn boy clothes for most of my life I learned at a very young age that fashion, style and beauty have to start inside and radiate through you. Archives
