As a big girl it's VERY common for a brand to throw some awful left over fabric together, normally in the shape of a pancho, and say they offer "Plus Sizes." SMH. MERP! I have always been one to stray away from anything pancho esk or even flirting with the pancho family. When you are short like I am and a size 26, it just doesn't pair well. So you can imagine my surprise when I found Renata Raps! I was immediately drawn to the fabulousness of the owner Renata at a fashion show in NC. She just oozed fashion, poise, and elegance. She looked so effortlessly chic wearing one of her wraps and I just had to learn more! Once I visited her showcase and got my hands on all of the luxurious pieces, I was hooked! Not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical on how they would wear on my body type, but I was totally blown away once I tried the wraps on! ***Sometimes half the battle is not worrying about if its going to look good on you, fit you, come in your size etc. If you walk into a store and love something, ask for it in YOUR size! Whats the worst that can happen???*** Renata and her gorgeous daughter showed me how easy it was to rock my wrap and before I knew items debit card was swiped! I wore my wrap on the plane ride home, which by the way...these wraps are genius for traveling! Who wants to be stuffy and uncomfortable when traveling/flying??? Try wrap was more comfortable than throwing on a baggy sweatshirt with no bra, and a million times more chic and fashionable! lol. The price point is more on the luxury end but this is definitely one of those transitional pieces you can wear for all seasons. Ya'll know me, I LOVE combining expensive pieces with bargains and making them my own. Like in these photos I paired my wrap with a simple $5 long sleeve black shirt, a pair of torrid leggings, my new favorite coach bag, and a $2 scarf from my favorite thrift store!

In honor of International Women's Day I decided to wear one of my FAVORITE tees that says it all. GIRLS SUPPORT GIRLS by Daisy Natives. I own this shirt in couple different colors and let me tell you! Its seriously one of the most comfy shirts I own! The quality is superb and it just hugs the body in all the right ways! It's all size inclusive, which I LOVE! And the cut is very flattering also. Its not a traditional "Women's Cut" to where its not going to work on the curvier folks. But not a "Men's Cut" either to where its going to look tight in the boobs and loose on the arms and stomach. Here is what Daisy Natives has to say about their Girls Support Girls Collection. Because too often we'd rather compete than lift each other up. Girls Support Girls. No matter what. $1 from every purchase of the Girls Support Girls tee will be donated to Girls For A Change, a national organization that inspires girls to have the voice, ability and problem solving capacity to speak up, be decision makers, create visionary change and realize their full potential. -Gold yellow/navy design (also available in pink, white, emerald green, navy blue, and baseball tee) -Unisex (see Size Guide under FAQs!) -Super soft ringspun tee -50% Polyester/25% Cotton/25% Rayon -Screenprinted in Austin, TX Now lets talk about this full length tulle skirt! I MEAN!! GET REAL RIGHT?! Its seriously one of my favorite fashion pieces! Its from Society plus and retails for around $110.00.
Now I know thats a little pricy for a tutu, but let me tell you. its literally worth every penny! I may not know a thing or two about a thing or two, but your girls knows tutus! Ive bought them, made them, my entire life basically lol And when I tell you I have never found a more amazing tutu, you can take that to the bank! Not only does it come in lots of other colors, but lots of different lengths as well! Everyone needs a tutu in their closet in my opinion lol. This Gem of a leather jacket is a 3xl and by Jessica Simpson believe it or not! I had no idea she was turning out clothes for the plus size team! Go Jess!! I purchased it at Burlington Coat Factory a couple years ago. Not wanting to fully commit to a letter jacket vibe, a simple drape over the shoulders gives the outfit that "I am woman, hear me roar!" In a fashionable way type of moment! xox I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Coach fashion blogger event at the Ontario Mills location this past weekend and holy accessories batman! It was absolutely magical! The store was completely closed and just open to us fashion bloggers which I'm not gonna lie.. I was feeling 12 kinds of Pretty Woman! From the moment I arrived it was total VIP. There was goodies bags, drinks, desserts, photo stations, I mean the amount of detail that went into this event was absolutely fabulous! We were there to check out the new American Dreaming Collection that is totally giving me all the american, vintage, pin up vibes! Made me think of the 4th of July and to quote one of my favorite movies, "It made me want a hot dog real bad." (Legally Blonde 2) How stinking CUTE are the prints on these wallets???? I cant!!!! <3 Meet fellow fashion blogger Yailin Victoria! She runs the ultra fab blog TheBeverlyChicBlog How cute is she?! Check her out on IG@ LoveLuxe_Style So if you know me then you know I LIVE for a mustard fashion moment. So when I laid eyes on this beauty I'm holding here, I knew she would be coming home with me. She was adorned with the perfect little blue floral scarf and uhhhh... it was love at first site. The mustard color of this bag totally POPPED with my floral dress from Torrid! Just another added bonus lol But sadly, as I threw the bag on cross body style - which is my favorite way to comfortably wear any bag- my dreams were shattered when she didn't fit right! NOOO!!!!!! I extended the strap, clipped it into different spots, even tried to see if there was any way I could stylishly DIY some gold links to make her fit better. But sadly, it wasn't working out. This was one of those cross body bags that instead of falling more so at the hip, it fell more like right at the bottom of your bra. Not flattering on me :( But your girl is NO quitter lol I had many backups to choose from that I loved just as much! Unlike most Coach stores I've been to, this location is MASSIVE! "So much more room for activities!" (Where is that from?) :) Not JUST bags! I was totally surprised at how gorgeous their clothing was! Be still my heart!! I nearly choked when I spotted these beauties! Floral Glitter High Top Sneaker?!? ummm YES!!!! And here is the best part about this location.. it's an OUTLET! So these shoes normally retail for around $250 with all the discounts this location provides, these came out to $80.00!!!! I know... I cant. <3 Backpacks are ALL the rage right now and Coach has definetly made their mark with this beauty! How incredibly cute are these keychains/bag charms?! This is the beauty I ended up bringing home with me! Ill be positing an OOTD with her very soon! She is the Cross Body Clutch in RED with gun metal detailing.

Once Upon a TimeGrowing up with a single dad, and a house with only boys, let just say fashion wasn't something I was at all familiar with. Add being plus size to that and its "you are wearing what your brother wears just in bigger boy sizes." There was no Torrid, Lane Bryant, Forever21 plus- At least my Dad had not discovered it yet.I think thankfully by age 13 there was a Fashionbug?? EEKK! Having literally worn boy clothes for most of my life I learned at a very young age that fashion, style and beauty have to start inside and radiate through you. Archives
